Filmmaker Jeff Maynard founded Amity Pictures in 2007, naming the company after Amity Island, the fictional setting for the movie JAWS. After completing film programs at the University of Kansas and USC, Jeff started his career as an assistant editor at award-winning editorial houses Nomad and Spot Welders, working on national TV spots for brands such as Apple and Nike. But it was his experience working on documentaries for THE MATRIX TRILOGY that led Jeff to form his own company, where he nurtured his passion for creating cinematic documentary films with emotive storytelling.
